COMING IN APRIL 2012! The Phlebotomy Technician program is designed for individuals who are interested in learning the art of venipuncture (drawing blood samples) according to healthcare standards. Students are required to successfully complete an off-site clinical externship in a healthcare facility following theory and skill practice. Successful completer’s qualify to sit for the Phlebotomy Technician Certification offered through the National Center for Competency Testing.
Course Requirements (required at an additional expense) · High School Diploma or GED – Official Transcript · FBI and BCI Background Check · Proof of Current Immunizations · Physical Examination · Dark Green Scrubs · White Shoes How to Register Contact the Career Center for program information and application. Prospective students should complete and return the application to KCCC Adult Education with a $100 non-refundable deposit. The balance of fees is due the first day of class.
