Spybot Search and Destroy
Removes unwanted spyware. (Works for FraudAntivirus Doktor & Virtumonde)

ATF Cleaner
Get rid of unnecessary files.

SuperAntiSpyware
Removes unwanted spyware. (Works, if caught early on Antivirus 2009)

Programs to read/use items on Internet or with personal computing:

Adobe Reader
Reader for the Adobe PDF documents.

Adobe Flash Player
Adobe Flash is needed to view some websites, etc.

Java
Java is also needed to view some components of websites.

PDF Writer
Make PDFs to compress/send documents.

Office 2007 PDF Plugin
Install to create PDFs from within the Office 2007 suite.

Office 2007 Converter
Can't open an Office 2007 document in Word 2000/2003?  Install this program.

Microsoft Works Converter
Can't open a Microsoft Works document in Word?  Use this download to convert it.

VLC Player
VLC media player is a portable multimedia player for various audio & video formats as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols.

Winzip
Program to compress and uncompress files.

Winsock FTP
Program to upload files via ftp to other servers.

Microsoft Photo Editor
The old version of MS Photo Manager.  (Makes transparencies -- new program does not.)

Image Resizer
Easily resize images.  Note: after you install the program.  Go to Start | Run and type in the following: REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL  -- it must be typed in exactly this way, with the correct spacing.

CD Burner XP
Creating an audio or data CD/DVD or ripping the data from an audio CD can be cone easily by using this free recommenation.

Mozy
There are dozens of free and commercially available backup programs for computers. Unfortunately many of those backups are stored locally, meaning if your house were to catch fire, get robbed, or if you simply lost your backup discs all your data would be lost. This is why when dealing with important data we suggest users use online backup services. * Free 2GB of online backup for personal use.

Create sticky notes on your computer screen.

Dial2Do
Dial2Do lets you do common tasks by just calling a number and speaking. Use it to send EMAIL or TEXT messages, record REMINDERS to help you remember things.

Camstudio
A great Open Source program to record screen and audio activity.

Camstudio Codec
Must be used with Camstudio.  (A piece of the program.)

Lame
MP3 Encoder.  Works with Camstudio and Audacity.

Audacity
Free software to create podcasts.

Freeware Programs - Save $$$

Firefox
The "other" Internet Explorer.  *More secure.

Open Office
The alternative to Microsoft Office.  *It's free.
