The Medical Insurance Billing Specialist profitably manages a medical practice's receivables by taking information from the patient's medical record and translating it into number codes, then entering it on to an insurance claim form or into a computer database. The efficiency of the Medical Insurance Billing Specialist determines the profitability of the medical practice thereby making the skilled Medical Insurance Biller a valuable asset in the healthcare field.
